Dinner and Carols at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir

4

If you’re looking to start your Christmas celebrations early this year, or are simply looking to treat someone special to something truly magical, then we have just the night for you. For the past 15 years, Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons restaurant and hotel in Great Milton, Oxfordshire has been hosting a series of carol service evenings across the Advent season.

These prestigious black tie events begin at 6:45pm at the two Michelin star restaurant, with a Laurent-Perrier Champagne reception and canapés, followed by a short candlelit walk to the neighbouring 12th Century St Mary’s Church for the evening’s concert performance. Returning to Le Manoir at 8:45pm, guests are served a celebration five-course dinner created by Raymond Blanc and Gary Jones, whose extraordinary gastronomic skills have ensured that the Le Manoir has retained its two Michelin stars since 1985.

“It’s very magical. It’s a great way to start Christmas off,”

says Tracey Clinton – Director of Marketing & Communications at Le Manoir. “The church is completely lit by candlelight, which just adds to the magical element.” Victor members are invited to attend the concert evenings on Tuesday 2nd December and Monday 8th December at the reduced price of £200 per person (usually £250).

The speaker at the concert will be General Sir Mike Jackson GCB CBE DSO. Performing on the 8th December will be Octavo, an eight piece ensemble that performs both a cappella and with orchestral accompaniment. The speaker at the concert will be Nicholas Parsons CBE.

Guests are also welcome to extend their visit with an overnight stay in one of the hotel’s individually designed rooms or suites. Dating back to the late 15th Century, the grade 2 listed manor house is surrounded by 30 acres of some of Oxfordshire’s most sublime gardens. The hotel also hosts the world famous Raymond Blanc Cookery School. Since opening in 1984, the hotel, restaurant and cookery school have attracted guests from all over the world, with many jetting into the nearby London Oxford Airport just to experience the multi-award winning fare.
