FLYING WITH DOGS

(AND OTHER ANIMALS)

Booking your pet-friendly flight

Pets are family, not cargo. That’s why, when you fly with Victor, they travel in the cabin with you.

Booking your pet-friendly flight couldn’t be simpler. Many of our operators welcome four-legged passengers on board, so all you have to do is request a quote the same way you would charter any other jet.

The benefits of four-legged flying with Victor
  • Your pet can fly safely by your side, instead of in a crate in the hold
  • No more searching for pet-friendly commercial carriers or filling out time-wasting forms
  • Your dog can take a stroll just before boarding
  • Walk straight off the plane and through customs – instead of your pet spending hours alone in animal control
  • You’ll both arrive relaxed and refreshed
Pets on jets: woman on private jet with pet
How much does it cost to take your pet on a private jet?

Victor won’t charge you anything extra for bringing your pet on board. Some operators may include a small fee and depending on the airport, admin charges may apply. Any extra fees will be included in your quote, and your account manager will be able to advise you on details.

To take your pet on a private jet, your pet will need:
  • A valid pet passport to confirm your pet’s routine health checks are up to date.
  • Identification that shows the date of their microchip.
  • Valid vaccinations dependent on countries of arrival and departure. See below for details.

Your account manager will advise on any extra requirements when you request a quote.

"With Victor, my dog Roo flew with me in the cabin, and the approach was completely different to commercial airlines. I simply needed to provide a scan of our passports and make a quick online payment. That was it. I booked immediately."- Victor member -
What travel documents will my pet need?

Each country has different requirements – but you will need a valid pet passport and vaccination certificate.

To make sure you and your pet can fly straight through customs, just follow our handy checklist below. Regulations do change so if you can’t find the info you need, just ask our pet travel experts.

To enter the UK with a dog, cat or ferret, your pet will need:

  • Pet passport (or third-country veterinary certificate) showing the date and number of their microchip.
  • Rabies vaccination (or have had the last of their primary course of vaccinations) three weeks before arriving in the UK.
  • Tapeworm treatment (for dogs only) given no less than 24 hours and no more than five days before entering the UK. This must be recorded in your pet’s passport.
  • Original documents – photocopies won’t be accepted by customs.

Your pet will also need to be at least three months old, and copies of your pet’s documents will have to be sent to the operator before the flight for clearance.
