COVID-19 restrictions

From June 8th all inbound travellers will be required to enter a two week quarantine period. Arriving passengers will have to provide an address where they will remain for 14 days.

Those arriving from Ireland, the channel Islands and the Isle of Man will NOT have to enter the 14 day quarantine period.

Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are exempt as they are part of the common travel area.
 

The 14 British Overseas Territories are also exempt.
 

At present, passengers of all nationalities will be allowed to enter the UK, subject to ‘appropriate screening’.

History

Established in 1905 as a balloon factory for The Royal Engineers, Farnborough Airport is famous as the site of the UK’s first powered flight in 1908. In subsequent years, Farnborough Airport became the base for British aircraft research under the guise of the Royal Aircraft Establishment, and was bombed heavily during World War II. The airport continued military operations until 2003, when it was taken over by a private company, TAG Farnborough Airport Ltd. Farnborough Airport has been the location for the 2008 James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, and the 2010 film, Inception.
