With all flight emissions double offset (200%) at a minimum, Victor is accelerating its commitment to sustainability and all forms of carbon extraction, supported by our global headline carbon reduction partners with BP Target Neutral and Air BP.
Double Offset on All Co2 Emissions As Standard
Every booking includes a minimum of 200% offset, equivalent to approximately 0.3% of the cost of a booking. Each quarter you receive a statement with your credit balance along with a list of initiatives the credits have supported. In addition, several of our top operators are enlisted on the Victor / BP Operator Carbon Reduction programme and on many routes they are contributing half of the carbon offset costs. Look out for the carbon symbol on your quotes.
Unlimited Offset Programme
Clients who wish to offset to a higher level of 400%, 800% or more, can do so through the Unlimited Offset Program. Where the customer contributes 0.3% of the booking cost, per 200% extra offset. This can be applied on demand or on an annual basis. Speak to your account manager for further information.
Many of our top operators are enlisted on the Victor / BP Operator Carbon Reduction programme, which brings benefits to both our clients and the environment. On many routes, subject to cleaner fuel availability, BP will contribute half of the carbon offset costs. Look out for the carbon symbol on your quotes.
How Carbon Offsetting Works
A carbon offset negates (or offsets) the same amount of carbon emissions you release in the atmosphere, with a carbon credit equal to one tonne of CO2. The offset is created by supporting clean energy projects and funding activities which reduce CO2 in the atmosphere such as reducing deforestation in Zambia and installing biogas plants in China and India. To offset air travel, the total emissions resulting from the fuel burn is calculated in tonnes and the carbon credit equivalent is purchased.
Our Carbon Partners
Victor sources carbon credits from leading, accredited providers, so our programme is robust and trackable to the final dollar. We are working with the following partners:
The Credits in Action
The Lower Zambezi REDD+ project, that supports environmental education initiatives, is just one example of the many schemes in place around the globe. Many offsetting projects are located in developing countries, offering further additional socio-economic benefits.
