Carbon Offsetting

Fly with purpose - Victor’s carbon offsetting

Every booking includes a minimum of 200% carbon offset, which costs approximately 0.3% of the average cost of a booking. Each quarter you receive a statement with your carbon credit balance along with a list of initiatives the credits have supported. Look out for the carbon symbol on your quotes.

Unlimited Offset Programme

If you wish to offset your flights to a higher level of 400%, 800% or more, you can do so through the Unlimited Offset Program. The cost for 200% offset is equivalent to 0.3% of the average cost of a booking. This can be applied on demand or on an annual basis. Speak to your account manager for further information.

How Carbon Offsetting Works

A carbon offset negates (or offsets) the same amount of carbon emissions you release in the atmosphere, with a carbon credit equal to one tonne of CO2. The offset is created by supporting clean energy projects and funding activities which reduce CO2 in the atmosphere such as reducing deforestation in Zambia and installing biogas plants in China and India. To offset air travel, the total emissions resulting from the fuel burn is calculated in tonnes and the carbon credit equivalent is purchased.

Our Carbon Partners

Victor sources carbon credits from leading, accredited providers, so our programme is robust and trackable to the final dollar. We are working with the following partners:

The Credits in Action

The Lower Zambezi REDD+ project, that supports environmental education initiatives, is just one example of the many projects in place around the globe. Many offsetting projects are located in developing countries, offering further additional socio-economic benefits.
