What brought you to Victor?
I was studying Air Transport Management at Loughborough University and undertook my placement year with one of the large “traditional” charter brokerages. I was offered a full-time role there upon the completion of my University Course, which I was due to accept, but whilst writing my dissertation I came across a new and disruptive company called “Victor”. I was immediately interested in the brand. The real entrepreneurial and disruptive story connected with me and I wanted to get behind their mission of bringing transparency to the traditionally opaque private jet charter market.
What do you love about your job?
I cherish the fact that I get to work in an industry I love. I have had a passion for aviation since I was young, and I still love nothing more than getting onboard one of the flights I arrange when I flight-rep. It allows me to meet people from all over the world, speak to flight crews who share the same passion for aviation as me, and visit countries I would never dream of going to.
I am fortunate that my job has taken me all over the world, from overseeing VIP flight movements in South Africa, a two-week tour of South East Asia and flying around Europe with the Harlem Globe Trotters, to name a few!
What sets Victor apart?
The market-leading innovation at Victor has always inspired me. From the private jet industry’s first loyalty programme “ALTO” to the industry’s first complimentary 200% carbon offset programme - it is great to be part of such a forward-thinking company.
What’s your favourite piece of advice?
“Complexity is impressive, simplicity is genius”
What’s your favourite perk at Victor?
An opportunity to travel. I went skiing last year and was fortunate enough to travel on a Falcon 900 which was transiting between London and Sion. I will never forget coming into land at Sion, flying directly down the valley with mountains on either side. It was a truly unforgettable experience.
