Get back into the social swing of things with Victor’s global event calendar
ARGENTINA | Art Basel Cities: Buenos Aires
6–12 September

A reflection of the Argentine capital’s thriving cultural scene, the week brings together an assortment of neighbourhood partners, professional collaborations, projects and exchanges. Curated by Cecilia Alemani, the highlights include the ‘Hopscotch (Rayuela)’, a citywide exhibition featuring newly commissioned and existing works by 18 local and international artists.

FRANCE | La Biennale Paris
8–16 September

This antiques fair has been a highlight of the French capital’s art-market calendar for the last half-century. With six millennia of creative craftsmanship all under one very grand roof – that of the Grand Palais, to be exact – there’s sure to be something for everyone. It’s the perfect excuse for a weekend away in the City of Light.

FRANCE | Cannes Yachting Festival
11–16 September

If you float it, they will come. The festival’s 41st edition promises to be even bigger and better than before, much like the vessels on show during the week. Opt for the Riviera card for permanent VIP access, helicopter transfers from the airport, and priority use of the event’s Maserati courtesy cars.

USA | FEI World Equestrian Games
11–23 September

Combining eight equestrian events of World Championship-standard (jumping, dressage and para-equestrian dressage, eventing, driving, endurance, vaulting and reining), this year’s competition takes place in Mill Spring, North Carolina. And if that’s not enough horse-based activity, equestrian-focused demonstrations and exhibitions are also on the agenda.
